IT’S 5* DELUXE ALL THE WAY! M/S Nile Dolphin is a 5-star deluxe floating hotel cruising on the Nile between Luxor and Aswan. Rooms, lobbies, and restaurant were totally renewed in 2017 and have been decorated with individually painted modern art paintings.

The floating hotel has 63 deluxe double cabins and 2 suites, restaurant, panorama lounge, bars, ‘silent area’ adjacent to the lounge with panorama terrace, sun deck with pool, Jacuzzi and bar, massage cabin, and air-conditioned gym with direct access to the pool on the sun deck.

ROOMS: All cabins have large panorama windows

that can be opened – so you can enjoy the view of the Nile, the palms and the desert… even from your bed. All cabins have en-suite, spacious, modern bathrooms with marble floors and wall decorations, full glass shower cabins with jet panels, toiletries, hairdryer.

RESTAURANT: You will be indulged with a large

variety of international cuisine and local dishes and the kitchen is able to meet special dietary requirements. If you are on a gluten free diet – the onboard bakery will prepare you fresh gluten free bread. And it is tasty, crispy, delicious!

There is a galley up on the sun deck as well. You can enjoy your lunch/dinner and the beautiful landscape while cruising. This will make your stay even more unforgettable on board the Nile Dolphin.

LOUNGE: The lounge bar is located on the 4th deck

with large panorama windows where you can enjoy your drinks while gazing out onto the Nile. The lounge has seating for 140 - ideal for our special evening entertainment programmes. Adjacent to the lounge is the library where you can read or just admire the beautiful panorama in silence.

SUNDECK: You may enjoy the sun on the sun deck

where the most fashionable cocktails and drinks are served. An oversized pool with deep and shallow water and two jacuzzis will pamper as you relax in the sunshine.

From the sundeck you can access the air-conditioned gym and spa with infra sauna on the fourth deck.

WELCOME ON BOARD!

ITINERARY Saturday October 6 - Arrive Luxor and enjoy a relaxing 48 hours in the Steigenberger 5* Nile Palace hotel, joining our 5* deluxe boat on Monday afternoon October 8.

Tuesday After breakfast we visit the East Bank of Luxor and walk among the colossal temple of Amun Ra and the Avenue of the sphinxes between the Karnak and Luxor temples - an experience you will never forget. Back on board for lunch and we then sail to Edfu.

Wednesday Discover the huge temple dedicated to the God Horus. We travel by horse carriage with your guide and visit the colourful local bazaars. Lunch on board. Sail on to Kom Ombo.

Thursday We arrive in Aswan with offshore visits to the gigantic high dam, the unfinished obelisque and the splendid Philae Temple of Isis the mother goddess Friday Enjoy a free day at leisure with an optional trip to Abu Simbel. In the afternoon you will discover more beauty of the Nile by felucca boat and visit the botanical gardens – a paradise of shady trees, beautiful flowers hosting colourful exotic birds on Kitchener island.

Saturday In the early morning we sail back to Kom Ombo where you will visit the unusual double deck temple dedicated to the Crocodile Gods Sobek and the God Haroeris.

Sunday After breakfast it is time to focus on the West Bank of Luxor and explore the great valleys of the Kings and Queens where generations of Pharaohs and nobles were buried in crypts cut into the cliffs and guarded by the two huge Colossi of Memnon.

Monday Checkout after breakfast and then at leisure in Luxor prior to transferring to the airport.

THE COSTS Including 2 nights in the Nile Palace Hotel in Luxor, our charter for seven nights on a full board basis; all sightseeing throughout the cruise; transfers from Luxor airport and back in an air-conditioned bus; horse carriage ride for the visit to Edfu temple; private Egyptologist tour guide throughout; all meet and assist at airports. THE NILE Ancient Egyptians prized and venerated the Nile River. It was their umbilical cord. Even today, a common Egyptian blessing is: "May you always drink from the Nile." From its cooling waters came perch fish bigger than the fisherman. From its loamy riverbanks came mud used for bricks and papyrus for books and boats. Every year, when the Nile River flooded and saturated the parched land in water and life-giving silt, the Egyptian farmers thank the god Hapy and began their calendar anew.

THE WEATHER The Nile River Valley is a hot and dry region which registers very little precipitation at any time of the year. The winter months are better months to head to the Nile River Valley in terms of temperature. We have selected October for our Adventure. Generally we will explore in the cooler mornings, nap and relax during the hottest part of the day and then enjoy the special G&S and other musical entertainment that has become such an important feature of our adventures.The semi-staged choice for this trip is “The Sorcerer”.
