SAY YES TO

Camping Whether you’re packing your bags for a camping trip with your troop or your family, camping trips provide an opportunity to unplug and get outside. Camping is an integral part of the Girl Scout experience and allows girls to grow, explore leadership, and develop an appreciation for the world around them. The possibilities are endless when it comes to camping—all that matters is that you’re doing it with her. Whether for a day, a weekend, or longer, camping gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun!

Group Camping Information • Duration of group camping trips vary. They can be for a day, a weekend, or longer! Keep it girl-led—allow the girls to decide what duration they feel comfortable with. • Your group can overnight camp at a GSMH Program Center. Just remember to bring the right team! You will need one official adult volunteer per unit who is certified in GSMH Outdoor Level 2 training and another adult who is certified in CPR and First Aid. • Camping on non-GSMH sites requires approval from GSMH and Outdoor Level 3 training. The only exception is overnight camping in a backyard setting.
