Your story is your power. The program follows the recent publication of Mrs. Obama’s book, Becoming Me: Adapted for Young Readers, and offers a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts to embark on their journeys to become their best selves. Through the Becoming Me program, girls will earn badges, explore who they want to become through journaling, and join their Girl Scout sisters across the country for a members-only virtual event with Mrs. Obama on May 6. Kick off another year of discovery, sisterhood, and Girl Scout fun by joining us for our new Becoming Me program! Girls will unlock the power of their unique story and explore who they can become, earn badges, and even attend a special members-only event with Mrs. Obama! Event registration is now open; save your spot by renewing for the 2022 membership year April 30.

Since the beginning of Girl Scouting, outdoor experiences have been fundamental to the Girl Scout movement.

Get Outdoors with Summer Camp We live in a world of screens—smartphone! laptop! TV! tablet!— and sometimes you just want to get away from it all. We get it. That’s why you can focus your Girl Scout experience on getting outdoors. Girls will develop the kind of outdoor skills it’s hard to get anywhere else. Skills like building a campfire, pitching a tent, and canoeing across a lake. Hey, how about adding some horseback riding, rock climbing, and archery to the mix? Round things out with a ropes course, some ziplining, and maybe a week-long high adventure survival camp, and you’ll find out how much fun it can be to unplug and explore the world around you. Camping is a great way for girls to explore leadership, build skills, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether for a day, a week, or longer, Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun under the guidance of caring, trained adults. Our summer camp registration is open now! Check out Explore—available on our website—for all the unique summer camp opportunities available to girls this year.
