Fall Product Program Weekly Bites: September 3 - 15

Every Monday from Sept. 16 - Nov. 18, you will receive this Weekly Bites email that will help you through the Product Program week by week. We hope you will use the weekly email and our Fall Resources on the GSMW Website to help guide your Troop to success!

The Fall Product Program

We want every Girl Scout and Troop to participate in the Fall Program from Sept. 27 – Nov. 13. Girl Scouts sell the following items to Friends and Family:

• Magazines

• Candy and Nuts

• Girl Scout Themed Bark Boxes

• Tervis Tumblers

• Personalized Products

This program is an opportunity for your Girl Scouts to learn the following 5 skills and earn money to fund future Troop adventures.

• Goal setting

• Decision making

• Money management

• People skills

• Business ethics.

Weekly Bites

1. Register for and attend the required Troop Kickoff on Zoom next Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Can’t make it live? Register and watch the recording before the program starts!

2. Make sure all girls are registered for 2024-2025, so your Troop is ready!

3. Starting Sept. 27, Girl Scouts can set up their online site, share their link, and start collecting orders online or with their Paper Order Card.

1. Volunteer M2 Online System (M2OS) access is coming Sept. 23. Bookmark: https://www. gsnutsandmags.com/admin

2. No paperwork or order cards yet? Fill out the Product Program Paperwork Request.

3. Visit and bookmark www.gsmw.org/fallresources for help clips, dates and more!

4. Check your Troop roster in myGS to be sure all your girls are registered for 2024-2025! Only registered girls will be loaded into M2OS.

5. Fall Program kicks off Sept. 27. Get everyone excited at your upcoming Troop meeting.

6. Introduce our Fall Mascot, Ellie, to your Girl Scouts.

Meet Ellie the Asian Elephant

1. Height: 6 to 12 feet tall at the shoulder

2. Weight: 4,400 – 12,000 pounds

3. Life Span: 60 to 70 years

4. Asian elephants are the largest land mammal on the Asian continent.

5. Asian elephants’ trunks contain around 100,000 muscles.

6. Asian elephants use low frequency sound waves for communication.

1. M2OS access email comes today! No email? No problem! Visit https://gsnutsandmags.com/admin and click forgot password. If your email is not recognized, email customercare@gsmw.org. Please make sure your girls are showing properly in M2OS.

2. Talk to your Girl Scouts on how they can get a personalized patch!

3. The Fall Product Program starts this Friday, Sept. 27. Distribute paperwork to your Troop if you have not already.

Weekly Bites

1. Reminder: Check that all girls in your troop have launched their Online sites. Encourage girls to design their avatar and send 18+ emails.

2. Check out all of our Fall Product girl and troop promotions we have running through November 13!

Fall Promotions

We have some exciting promotions during the Fall Product Program from now until November 13!

1. Embrace the Outdoors: Troops that sell $1500+ in Fall Sales will be entered to win a FREE 2-day/1-night GSMW Property Rental OR a $150 Program Credit. Every additional $300 sold will get the troop another entry to win.

2. Early Cookie Booth sign-ups: Troops that have at least 80% of their registered girls participate in the 2024 Fall Program with at least 1 sale, will gain early access to Cookie Booth Selections. Troops will be able to select up to 2 premium and 4 non-premium booths on February 7, the Friday before the normal booth sign-ups begin.

3. Win Ellie the Asian Elephant Giant Plush: Girls who sell 7+ Care to Share items during the Fall Program will receive an entry to win Ellie! For every 2 additional Care to Share items sold, girls will receive another entry to win.

4. Fall Personalized Patch: Check out your paperwork for the leader and girl criteria. Be sure to send your Parent Adult Email Campaign (PAEC) through M2OS to qualify for your Fall Personalized Patch as a leader.

Weekly Bites

1. Care to Share: Customers can purchase a $7 treat for a member of your local military! At the end of the season, we donate all the Care to Share purchases to local military bases throughout our Council just in time for the holidays.

2. Win Ellie the Asian Elephant Giant Plush: Girls who sell 7+ Care to Share items during the Fall Program will receive an entry to win Ellie! For every 2 additional Care to Share items sold, girls will receive another entry to win.

3. Have Customers Browse your Mags & More Shop for:

• Magazine subscriptions

• Personalized items

• Girl Scout themed Bark Boxes

• Beverage tumblers

4. Holiday Shopping: Make a list of those people you don’t want to forget! Make sure to check with everyone including but not limited to:

• Teachers

• Family and friends

• Babysitters and daycare workers

Weekly Bites

• Be sure to review and work towards all of our Fall Product girl and troop promotions we have running through November 13!

• Remind caregivers that Online Girl Delivery Orders feed automatically to M2OS and DO NOT need to be entered into the system. Entering those orders will DUPLICATE the product ordered and the caregiver will be financially responsible for the extra product.

• The Fall Program continues online until November 13. Encourage girls to keep sharing their site links and emailing customers!

• Service Units: Enter and confirm product delivery and rewards address by October 15 to get your Personalized Patch.

“Ellie-vate” Your Sale Extravaganza!

Encourage your girls to participate in the “Ellie-vate” Your Sale Extravaganza from October 14 through October 24. Girls that:

1. Have their M2OS Site set up and launched. 2. Get at least $150+ online sales (including girl delivery orders) during the next 10 days.

Will receive the EXCLUSIVE “Ellie-vate” Your Sale Patch!

PLUS: The top 10 online sellers during that time will win their own Elephant Tracker Bracelet! Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

• Three more days for your girls to “Ellie-vate” their sale. Don’t miss the Extravaganza. Be sure to review and work towards all of our girl and troop promotions we have through November 13.

• Double check and confirm Paper Order Card entries for any possible errors/discrepancies.

• Important Dates:

» October 20 by 11:59 PM– Caregivers enter girl orders in M2OS

» October 23 by 11:59 PM - Troop orders edited/entered in M2OS

» October 24 at 11:59 PM - Online Girl Delivery ends

Here are some fun facts:

1. Cashews grow on trees, while peanuts grow on the ground.

2. Brazil nuts are actually from Bolivia!

3. “Goober” is another name for a Peanut.

4. Pistachio Trees can produce for up to 300 years. October 27 is National Chocolate Day! Get your friends and family excited. Tell them about your favorite chocolate item they can purchase from Girl Scouts online!

“Ellie-vate” Your Sale Extravaganza

Girls that have their M2OS Site set up and launched AND get at least $150+ online sales (including girl delivery orders) during the Extravaganza will receive the EXCLUSIVE “Ellie-vate” Your Sale Patch.

PLUS: The top 10 online sellers during that time will win their own Elephant Tracker Bracelet.

Things to Remind Girls to Do

1. Create a 30 second elevator pitch that is ready to share: “My Girl Scout Troop wants to ________ this year. Please browse my online site and help me reach my goal of ________. Products will ship directly to you, and you should receive your products just in time for the holidays.”

2. Use Halloween to your advantage: Share your site link with business cards or door hangers while trick-or-treating!

Fall Product Program

Weekly Bites: November 4 - 10

It’s National Candy Day! Celebrate by sharing your site and getting customers to enjoy National Candy Day.

Only 10 days left for customers to support Girl Scouts during the Fall Product Program!

If you have late orders email customercare@gsmw.org as soon as possible but by no later than Nov. 13. If late orders must be sent separately, shipping costs will be paid for by the Troop/Caregiver.

Weekly Bites

• Cadette, Senior, Ambassador (CSA) Troops: Don’t forget to opt-out of rewards by November 8.

• Prepare for product deliveries by printing the Delivery Tickets. These are your receipts.

Product Deliveries

Print two copies of Delivery Tickets as your receipts. You need to get receipts signed as you distribute product to caregivers.

No Printer? Email customercare@gsmw.org by November 6 with your Troop number and mailing address and we will get delivery tickets printed and sent out.

Care to Share: Veteran’s Day

Next Monday is Veteran’s Day—Girl Scouts should ask customers to purchase Care to Share online to increase the number of treats we gift to our local military during the upcoming holidays!

PLUS Girls who sell 7+ Care to Shares receive an entry to win Ellie our Giant Plush. Every 2+ additional Care to Shares gets her another entry to win!

Rewards Opt-Out

CSA Troops may opt out of rewards by November 8 as a Troop and get an additional 2% in proceeds.

Fall Product Program

Weekly Bites: November 11 - 17

Weekly Bites

• November 11 – 18

Product deliveries have begun to Service Units (SU). Your SU manager will contact you to arrange your Troop pickup.

• November 13

Program ends. Take advantage of every opportunity to make the most of the Fall Product Program until this date.

• November 14

Final day to choose rewards in M2OS. If no choice is made, default items/sizes will be selected by Council.

Product = Money!

Anytime product or money exchanges hands, a receipt must be completed.

Today is Veterans Day!

Let’s celebrate our Armed Forces by collecting treats for them to enjoy. Invite customers to purchase Care to Share items this last week.

Did you know... If every participating Girl Scout sells an additional 5 Care to Shares, we will be able to donate nearly 7,500 treats to the military and veterans around the holidays this year!

PLUS, girls get entered to win the giant Ellie plush at 7+ Care to Shares sold!
