Dear GSMW Summer Camp Families, As we enter the new year we are excited to plan our 2021 camp season. While we continue our mission of providing outdoor programming to girls, steps will be taken to ensure the health and safety of our campers. Parts of camp may look a bit different as we continue to move ahead using best practices recommended by the CDC and GSUSA. Please explore this brochure knowing there will be a guide available in early spring with complete details. For now, I’ll leave you with a quote from my favorite campfire song that I hope brings you peace until we can get wacky at camp. “When winter snow surrounds me and I feel all alone, I think back to this time and place; I bring myself back home.” Wisdom Anne “Phoenix” Sweney Camp Director/Outdoor Program Manager annes@gsmw.org

Is Your Girl Ready for Camp? At our camps, we build independence, self-confidence and leadership skills. Campers can only reap these benefits if they are emotionally prepared for overnight camps. Prepare your camper by getting outside regularly, overnighting with relatives, or a sleepover or backyard campout at a friend’s house. When in doubt, there’s always the option of attending a shorter GO Camp, Troop Camp or Try-It Camp.
