Hello fellow Girl Scouts! Welcome to Icons to Legends Women Who Change the World
As Girl Scouts we are part of a sisterhood that spans beyond those in our communities and into the world. We are part of a movement, creating leaders of "courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place". This year we encourage you to come join in our 19th Annual Adult Retreat where you will encounter many Iconic Women, who have lived on and become Legendary Women throughout time in varying lifestyles and backgrounds, a few of whom were Girl Scouts themselves! We are thrilled to extend our warmest welcome to all of you as we embark on a captivating exploration of these women and how they have impacted the world at large. We will explore the areas of STEM: Science & Medicine, Performing Arts, Adventure & Sports, Changemakers, Creators and Educators.
You dedicate so much of your time to creating young female leaders. Now is YOUR opportunity to take some time out for YOU. Prepare to immerse yourself in a variety of classes that will show how we can each make an impact on our world through the leaders we are helping to create. Come ready to have new adventures, learn new skills and meet new and old friends.
Are you a National Delegate and worried about being able to have your voice heard in the special session. For those who are National Delegates for our council (or another council in the country), we invite you to take part in the special session on October 19th in the Delegate Lounge in Mustang. We will even give you the opportunity to sleep there.
Welcome to a celebration of the women who inspire us! Discover how each of these women have impacted our world for the better. Juliette Low once said, "The work of today, is the history of tomorrow and we are its makers." Prepare for an unforgettable experience that promises to help you imagine ways you can make your own historical mark on the world.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Seidemann Adult Retreat 2024 Chair "Icons

YOU are a legend in the making.
History is full of remarkable women - many of whom have inspired us to be legendary in our own unique way. Embrace “Women Who Changed the World” and explore the impact they can have on your own life and the lives of the girls you lead.
