Girl Scout Delegate Advisory Council *
Want to meet other girls from our council? Do you have ideas about events you would like to see our council offer? Then the Girl Scout Delegate Advisory Council (GSDAC) is for you! As a part of the GSDAC you will give input as to what you would like to see offered in our council. This is a great opportunity to wield and develop your leadership skills. The GSDAC gives Seniors and Ambassadors the opportunity to serve as the council’s voice for all girls in Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland. This select group of girls works as an advisory group that commits to a year-long leadership role and partners with staff and board members on projects ranging from program development to research and marketing. By facilitating youth-adult partnership, these leadership opportunities allow GSDAC members to influence decision-making processes in our council. As a member of the GSDAC, you are encouraged to share your creative ideas, demonstrate your passions for Girl Scouts, and ensure that our Girl Scout programs are what today’s girls want and need. For questions contact us at customercare@gsoh.org. Visit https://www.gsoh.org/governance to learn more about the advisory council and look for additional information in October.

SENIORS AND AMBASSADORS This Book Club is Anti-Racist * There’s a difference between not being overtly racist and being ANTI-racist. The book, “This Book is Anti-Racist” by Tiffany Jewell, was created specifically to help teens work through the process of becoming anti-racists. In a series of ten workshops, we’ll work through the book together, helping each other to understand the lessons and apply them in our own lives. These sessions will be a no-judgement zone, where you can expect to be honest and vulnerable, while understanding that none of us are in the same place in this journey. We will be meeting weekly for ten weeks, and to make sure the schedule works for everyone, we'll set the specific dates/times during our first meeting on September 24. Bring your own copy of the book, and come ready to change your life and the world around you for the better! The link to access our virtual book club space will be emailed to you upon registration. First Session: September 24, 7:00pm.
