myGSOH Program Guide Membership Year 2021-2022
-1Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland — Program Guide
Welcome to myGSOH We’ve made it easy for volunteers to find programs your girls will love by adding category icons to each program description. Get ready to start exploring and see all our council has to offer!
Life Skills Arts & Humanities Health & Wellness Advocacy & Engagement Through our Life Skills programs, girls will develop a strong sense of self and their potential. They’ll discover the importance of staying active and making healthy choices while becoming a more confident leader who wants to make the world a better place. By giving girls different perspectives and opportunities to make a difference, they’ll get inspired to give back and share the good!
.Entrepreneur The Girl Scout Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program are two ways for girls to earn while they learn and run their own business. The skills they develop—goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics—will set girls up for success beyond anything they could imagine.
.Outdoor Education Experiencing the outdoors is a great way to develop an appreciation for nature, build skills, and see Earth as our home. Whether girls want to hike in the woods, camp under the stars, or learn how to ride horses, our programs give them the chance to enjoy the outdoors in new and exciting ways!
.STEM Girls will get hands-on experiences in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math with a variety of activities that encourage them to explore their interests in STEM careers.
.Adults Required This symbol indicates that adult supervision is required. Adults must register for these programs.
.Adults Required: Overnight This symbol indicates that adult supervision is required at an overnight event. Adults must register for these programs, have a current membership, and successfully complete a background check.
Did you miss the registration deadline? Programs fill up quickly, but if we are able to accommodate a late registration to a program, a late fee of $3 per person will be added. Contact the program registrar at customercare@gsoh.org with how many spaces you want for girls and/or adults, including the name and date of the program, grade of the Girl Scouts, and your contact information. Customer Care will get back with you shortly!
How to register: Registration should be completed online via My GS. If you are unable to complete registration online, paper Program Registration Forms can be found at gsoh.org/forms.
New to MY GS? MY GS is the new system to handle ALL membership and activity related transactions! Head to gsoh.org, find MY GS at the top right of the screen and login (or create an account if you haven’t already). Click on My Events, then Register for Another Event and search by name, date, or other criteria. Once you select an event, the system will walk you through the steps to register and check out. For additional help, please visit gsoh.org/activities for a step by step guide.
GSOH Program Cancellation Policy For programs that have a registration fee of $8 or more, an 80% refund can be obtained by submitting a written request four weeks prior to the start date of the program. Programs with registration fees that are $7 or less are non-refundable. In case of medical emergency, death in the family, or other unique circumstances, late refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Written requests for all refunds should be submitted to customercare@gsoh.org with “Program Assistance” listed as the subject line. In your request, please reference the name of the registrant(s), name and date of the program, and reason for the request. If a program is canceled by GSOH, a full refund will be provided. Resident camp, day camp, and other large scale programs may have programspecific policies. Please always refer to the refund policy listed at the bottom of the event listing for each program.

New badges include: • Cookie Business badges for each year of Girl Scouting. • Math in Nature badges for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors. • Digital Leadership badges for each level. Test drive the new badges at girlscouts.org/newbadges and then pick up them at any of our Girl Scout Shops!

Highest Awards: Girls Changing the World Bronze. Silver. Gold. The highest awards Girl Scouts can earn, and an honor that we know all Girl Scouts are capable of achieving. Our highest awards program teaches girls to enact lasting change by guiding them through the process of sustainably addressing systemic issues. This isn’t a typical fundraiser or community service project. It’s something that lasts for years and changes your community for the better. In earning the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award—or all three!—, Girl Scouts show the world that anyone can make a difference, no matter their age. They improve their leadership skills, gain experiences that serve them in future schooling and careers, and empower others while empowering themselves. The highest awards exist so girls can make the most of their Girl Scout years by changing the world and creating the future you want to see. Are your girls ready?
