About Day Camp

Mythical creatures have been found in books, movies, and on television for decades. In 2023, they will be coming to Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland day camps. Bring your imagination and your sense of adventure as you explore the world of unicorns, gnomes, leprechauns, fairies, mermaids, and more. Each day camp experience includes a variety of activities such as cookouts, singing, hiking, crafts, STEM skills, outdoor skills, slingshot/archery, and more.

Day camp is an exciting introduction to the outdoors – our aim is for girls to have a positive camp experience as they become more comfortable outdoors and in their own abilities. We will adhere to the safety guidelines established by federal, state, and local governments; Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.; the American Camp Association; and GSOH.

Our programs are full of sun, fun, and adventure. You may choose to attend one camp or pick one for every week of the summer. Although times may vary, a typical day camp is a five-day session held Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Girls register for day camp as individuals. They may request one buddy (requests must be reciprocated) of the same age level. Girls from the same troop are not guaranteed to be in the same unit.
