Save!
Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada’s resident camp, Camp Wasiu II, is a beautiful and magical place where girls have the opportunity to learn new skills, grow as an individual, make new friends, and create lifelong memories. Adventure, wonder, and imagination thrive here.
Dear camp family...
All year long, we are surrounded by technology that consumes our time whether it’s for entertainment, school, or work. Come unplug and unwind and explore the great outdoors with us. No outlet, no problem! Camp is powered by positive energy, smiles, laughter and a little camp magic. Our 2020 summer camp guide is full of some amazing outdoor programs and adventures for girls, troops and families. Come one, come all! Your family is welcome here. There are programs for the artsy, for the imaginative, for the nature lovers, and for the outdoorsy—there is something for everyone. Sit down with your girls, grab a pen and find what inspires you. Check out our week-long residential camp sessions, weekend programs, one-day programs, and leadership opportunities. Come gather around the campfire, sing songs, tells stories and roast marshmallows. Sleep under the stars, hike through fields of trees and wildflowers, or paddle across the depths of Packer lake. Our camp program is girl-led—girls will get to help plan their camp program and make decisions about what they would like to do during their time here at Camp Wasiu II. Our girl-only supportive and positive environment fosters self-confidence and independence because it gives girls the opportunity to explore who they are and try new things in a judgement-free zone. I’m looking forward to seeing what this summer has in store and sharing our camp magic with you all! Yours in Camp,
Kelly “Jester” Carman Camp Director
Camp is open to ALL girls! You don’t have to be a Girl Scout to get in on the camp fun! Find out more at gssn.org/camp
