The Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration prepares its graduates for leadership and management careers within the hospitality industry. Housed in the Robinson College of Business, it’s one of the few hospitality programs where graduates earn a bachelor of business administration degree. Students majoring in hospitality administration take 21 semester hours of required core hospitality courses, which gives them a foundation for success within this multi-faceted industry. Electives and work-study experiences allow students to gain additional insight into specific industry segments.

Minoring in hospitality administration gives students valuable preparation for career opportunities within hospitality companies such as airlines, hotels, food service, convention centers, event venues and more. These companies employ professionals in accounting, finance, marketing, public relations, technology and other functional areas.

Major Practical Learning Opportunities The School of Hospitality Administration strives to integrate its curriculum with practical opportunities provided by major business partners to give students learning experiences in the hospitality industry. These opportunities are enhanced by the school’s location in the heart of Atlanta, surrounded by major attractions, event venues and the third largest number of hotel rooms in the nation.
