The Business and Industry Building and GTCC Conference Center is located on the Donald W. Cameron Campus in northwestern Guilford County near the communities of Colfax and Oak Ridge. The 94,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility opened in the fall of 2014 and is home to the North Carolina Center for Global Logistics and the new GTCC Conference Center. The unique features of the building are a modern regional business conference center, a warehouse lab outfitted with the latest in warehousing and distribution equipment, industrial training flex labs, classrooms, and computer labs to support a variety of programs supporting the logistics and other high tech industries in the Piedmont Triad. Designed by the international architectural firm Perkins Eastman, the building reflects the natural landscape of the surrounding area. The stone and brick exteriors and interiors, featuring ample natural lighting and large glass walls, provide a natural progression from the landscaped campus into the lobby, conference center, and classrooms. The Business and Industry Building is the flagship building of the Cameron Campus. It is also the first college building designed to meet the LEED gold specifications and its overall fit and finish set a new standard of excellence for GTCC.
