OUR COMMITMENT To fulfill our promises to EMPOWER, EDUCATE and EXCEL, the GTCC Foundation relies on the generous spirit of donors to make a significant impact in the lives of others.
A donation with the GTCC Foundation is an investment for the future of Guilford County. From employers seeking well-educated, highly-skilled people to fill jobs, to the wide variety of people looking to enhance their employment prospects through education or skills training, GTCC touches many individuals throughout our community. In addition to providing students with the means to achieve their goals, the Foundation also works to ensure that GTCC has the resources needed to offer relevant classes and training. This includes updating facilities and infrastructure, investing in new technologies, and working with educators to ensure they have the right tools.

EXCEL.
ANNUAL FUND The GTCC Foundation depends on annual gifts from donors and community organizations to help ensure a margin of excellence in all college programs and services. Unrestricted gifts provide flexibility to meet immediate needs in the classroom and across campus. Gifts may also be directed to support specific areas of interest. The Foundation manages approximately 200 unique funds designated for scholarships, student support services, professional development, academic programs and more.
PRESIDENT’S SOCIETY The President’s Society recognizes the GTCC Foundation’s most generous annual donors. Membership renews annually and is based on unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more made by an individual and his/her spouse. Members receive insider communication from the college president and other key community members, invitations to exclusive President’s Society events and special recognition in college publications.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The GTCC Foundation manages more than 125 named and endowed scholarship funds. Gifts can be made to support existing scholarships, award one-time scholarships or create endowed scholarships.
SINCE 1966, the GTCC Foundation has provided vital financial support for scholarships and important programs to further the mission of GTCC. Daniel Oldham, ‘13 Co-Founder Bio-Adhesive Alliance, Inc. Our goals are to: • EMPOWER people to reach for more. • EDUCATE by building dynamic learning
environments to thrive and grow. • Help students EXCEL by reaching their highest potential.
Consider the following: • Every dollar donated works to improve the quality of life in the Triad and educational opportunities at GTCC. • Your donation reaches into the lives of everyone in the communities where we all work, play and live. • Nearly 70% of students at GTCC receive need-based state or federal financial assistance, but most still have unmet financial need. • Expenses such as housing, transportation and childcare often prevent students from following through on their education and skill development. • More than 40% of all the wage earners in North Carolina have been students at one of the state’s 58 community colleges in the last 10 years.
