make amazing happen
Welcome to Continuing Education at GTCC
you can make amazing happen here Whether following a new passion, starting a new path, or changing careers, GTCC is where your story takes a turn for the better. Read how one student was able to change lanes from an industry stuck in neutral to a new opportunity that has his career in high gear. Troy Singley had been a chef for many years. But when his restaurant job disappeared last spring, he was at a crossroads. The 55-year-old knew he needed to find a career with a more secure future.
A new GTCC program caught his eye and turned out to be “life changing” for Troy. He was a member of the first GTCC truck driver course. After two months of intensive instruction, Troy and 11 classmates earned their Class A Commercial License (CDL). Now he is employed full time as a driver for Carolina Container.
In the GTCC truck driver course you don’t have any choice but to step up to the plate… That’s what we came here for. — Troy Singley former chef, graduate of the GTCC truck driver course
