It’s not just tech companies that need IT graduates, though – the latest trends in IT and technology have ensured that fnancial technology, cybersecurity and cognitve technology, among others, permeate other career sectors. Now, virtually every organisaton uses IT, from government departments to internatonal investment banks. In additon, remote operatons in the new normal have accelerated technology adopton in companies as they begin to setle into hybrid work models.

Work experience
Employers in this sector tend to be more discreet about advertsing their work experience opportunites. Check in with campus career services centres, or touch base with employers directly if they happen to be at an event.
Deadlines
Larger IT companies typically stck to deadlines in August and September, while others have contnuous recruitment.
However, if an IT job in another industry is preferred, much like banking, make sure to check the deadlines for their recruitment cycles.
