The Influence Of Unity

The Influence Of Unity gurpreettooray.empowernetwork.com /blog/category/inspiration What is your vision? For you personally, or for your business. Take a couple of minutes to think about it. What is your 'why'? Why are you doing what you do? Why did you get into a business? Why do you want to start a home based business? To get out of debt? To provide for your family? To travel the world? To not live paycheck to paycheck? There could be any number of reasons you are reading this blog post right now and let me take a second to take the time to say I appreciate you coming to this blog and reading this post. Personally I feel that in order to be successful in any business it is important to be unified. The influence of unity is great. It is important to be part of a team, part of a community where you can share like-minded ideas, learn from each other and their successes (and in some cases their failures), and have people to talk things over with. Like I mentioned before in an earlier post it is important to be part of a team and find a mentor, someone you can learn from - them and their communities. Everyone needs a stepping stone.

Being united in a community you can eventually learn to work smarter, not harder. Learn from everyone and then stand on your own two feet.

Being in a community allows you to have breakthroughs and 'a-ha' moments. For example, in this Empower Network community, David Wood (and the others in the leadership) do a conference call every Monday where you can call up and listen in to their ideas and interviews. These calls are then posted for everyone to listen to as playbacks. The interviews are available to you if you are part of the inner circle membership. What a brilliant way to keep the troops motivated and give them training on a weekly basis. One thing I have learnt from these weekly calls is that it is important to be transparent with your team/downline. People know immediately when you do not come across as being genuine, and people do not like to being lied to, especailly when it comes to something as important as business and money. At the end of the day being dishonest only hurts you and your business reputation. So be authentic and provide value. Life is an inside game. Once you have mastered the inside then transferring this across to people on the outside will not be an issue for you. It's easy to forget people, those that are close to you, the power they have by being close to you and supporting you. It's easy to forget that you are not a one man show. As I said before, be transparent and true to your team. I want to share a story that I think highlights the power of unity.

My best friend (of 6 years at the time of writing this blog post) moved to a different country to study. He is my brother, my rock, my best friend and my room mate. We had been in this new university for a semester and a half, had begun to make ties and friendships. One weekend we had two days of heavy partying (as students do) and on the Sunday afternoon, we had left our apartment to go to a friend's place and half way down, my friend started swaying. He said he could see people infront of him (that were not there) and all of a sudden he fell on the floor. He started to have an epileptic fit. I had never been around someone who had been through this before and I panicked. If you have been around someone in the middle of an empileptic fit you know how scary it can be. I caught him as he fell but I couldnt hold his weight and I let go ( he hit his head on the pavement unfortunately). We were in a foreign country (Hungary), we were not fluent in the language and we had no one we could rely on properly - no family and no really close friends. Some passers by called an ambulance for us and until the time they arrived I kept my hands under his head so he wouldnt hit his head while convulsing. The ambulance finally arrived and they took him away. I called another friend of ours and we rushed to the hospital. I had no idea what was going on, what to do, who do I call? We didn't know many people properly, why would they turn up to comfort us? I sat outside the room and waited for word from the Doctor and Nurses. Hours passed by and nothing. I went outside of the ward area for a stretch and there were friends waiting for us outside.

The waiting area was filled with those who had found out - no text messages, no calls to say how are you - they just showed up to be with him, to be with us. We set up camp outside, people had bought food and drinks and were just...there for us. My friend is okay now - he's fine. He had alcohol poisoning that had caused him to have a fit. He couldn't drink for a year and he was on medication but he's off them now and all is well, thank God. I didn't feel positive while all of this was going on but the situation was made that much more easier with people around me. Looking back at that as I type this story I come to realise what a great relief it was to see others around me. To know that I wasn't worrying on my own. There were people there that could comfort me, that kept an eye on my friend while I attended to paperwork etc. People come together, people unite and it feels... heartwarming and brings confidence. Coming back to unity in business, it's a smart thing to put your ego aside and realise that the team becomes the vision. Maybe you have come to a point where you feel your business is stuck in a rut and you know that it can grow bigger. I know that in the beginning I wanted to be invovled in every aspect of building my business. I didnt realise until later that this was causing me more harm than good. You need to empower yourself to not cling on to every aspect of your business. Your income is locked to the value that you provide to the community and marketplace. Something that I have learnt by listening to audios and reading books that it's important to outsource. By outsourcing work you free up your time to concentrate on other things - there is only so much work that you can do alone. Outsourcing is fantastic- there are so many skillfull people out there who share your vision and can help grow your business - people have skills that you may not have.

So in essence what I am trying to get at is it is more powerful to be unified than to be alone. There is more power in community visions that in a single entity. There is more power in unity than in singularity.

So I ask you, would you like to be part of something bigger than yourself? Would you like to be part of a f antastic community to help kick start or enhance your business? If you are stuck in a financial rut you could be holding on to concepts that may not be true and holding you back. Click here to change all of that now.

I hope you got some value out of this To your success
