MINI-MALL ISLAND

INTERCONNECTION ISLAND

CREED ISLAND Mapping of how the Islands are defined today, their borders and barriers.

MAPPING OF THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DISCOVERED ISLANDS AND THE NEXUS FLOW IN INDRE ARNA // The discovered islands are connected to the nexus space of roads and pathways. The meil road leads to Oslo and Europe. Most of them have one or two entry points and the easiest entrypoints are by car. Big part of the islands are covered with parking and their boarders are often trees and vegetation that are situated there by people. // All of the discovered islands are connected to water, if not the sea then the river that ows down the valley. They are planted in the richest soil in Arna. // Rhythms to or between the islands are fast because people mostly use cars, bus or train. Inside the islands the rhythms slow down and are then mostly inside buildings, that makes the sign of life invisible to the outside. The sunlight is inferior because of high mountains and that might me a big factor. But the position and structure of buildings are not helping this condition.

The harbor in Murmansk is a beautiful place and would have a lot of natural resources.

The railway system in Murnamnsk works as a huges barrier between the people of Murmansk and the harbor. Murmansk has the biggest port in Russia and the industry by the water is enormous.
