THE
GUILD GUIDE
WELCOME TO YOUR GUILD
Your Student Guild is here for you, the students, to provide you with activities and events while supporting you in various ways! The Student Guild provides most things non-academic with a little bit of academic support as well. ALL Griffith University Gold Coast students are part of the Student Guild. Whether you are domestic, international, full-time or part-time we are here for you! We are overseen by your Student Guild Board solely comprised of Griffith Uni Gold Coast students – their role is to represent you. Whether you want to play sport, join a cultural club, volunteer at our events, utilise the intercampus bus or you just want to send a fax; the Student Guild is the place for you.
We provide far too many services for them to be listed on this single page so please keep flicking through to find out how we will support you throughout your Griffith days. Head to our website gugcstudentguild.com. au, ‘like’ us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram! For further information pop in and see us at the Student Guild located at The Link Building (G07).
STUDENT GUILD BOARD As we are governed by the Student Guild Board we thought it was pretty important to let you know who they are and what they do. The Student Guild Board consists of 14 Griffith University Gold Coast students who have expressed an interest in the welfare of their fellow students. These students are your representatives. They know what students want and they tell us about it. Elections for Board positions are held every year in semester two with elected students being a board member for a 2 year term.
For a current list of Student Guild Board Members, please see our website.
CLUBS & SOCIETIES There are currently over 50 Cultural and Sporting clubs af filiated with the Student Guild. If none of these clubs suit you though, create your own! These consist of various cultures, academics and hobbies. There are also a number of sporting clubs ranging from those who compete regularly in Gold Coast leagues, as well as in regional, state and national level competitions, to recreational sporting clubs who train for general fitness.
Students can also compete in the year’s biggest sporting event, the Australian University Games! No club for you? Why not start your own?!
