As a candidate for the 98th District of the State Assembly, I will be working for all the people of the District to develop new and innovative solutions to some of the same old problems that make everyday family, business and overall economic life difficult for us all. Open and transparent government means just that, a direct line to my office to hear my constituent’s ideas or concerns and publication of our District’s agenda that I will be pursuing before the State Assembly on our behalf. Anti corruption means cleaning out the dark corners of our District by weeding out wasteful spending or dishonest dealing that increases the cost of living, of doing business or impedes the legislative work vital to the people of this District and our State. Pro small business means to cut the red tape and streamline state mandates and regulations that are counter-intuitive to job creation and an overall higher level of meaningful employment. Pro small business also means creating a District-Wide Business Corridor Committee to identify key businesses and locations that make our District unique in attracting new business and helping established businesses grow, creating a stronger tax base. Increased revenues from a growing business sector are a proven way to lower taxes for the average family. Anti drug and anti crime means to combat two old problems which go hand in hand by implementing a Business to Young Adults Mentoring Program in which District businesses create both unpaid and paid internship programs for the purpose of introducing young people into the work force position of their choice or to create an opportunity to become familiar with a previously unconsidered field or profession which will become a viable future career path. Through such mentoring efforts kids are focused on building a future and don’t have time for drugs or criminal conduct. The creation of future jobs and employees keeps our District business sector strong. It is through these and other planned interactions with the constituency of our District that I plan to improve the quality of everyday family and business life for our District and for our State. I therefore ask for your vote on September 9th, 2014 to elect me, Kevin M. Hudson to the New York State Assembly, 98th, District.
