Rebecca M. Straw February 14, 2022 Mt. Morris: At age 80, Rebecca passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born in Warsaw, NY to the late Howard and Iola Eddy. Survived by her daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Miskell; her grandchildren, Patrick Miskell, Meghann Miskell, Bridget (Edward) Szozda; and her brother, Ronald (Laura) Eddy, along with her nephew, Scott (Deborah) Eddy and her niece, Mary (Paul) Clough. Rebecca retired from SUNY Geneseo as the Food Service Catering Manager. A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date. February 10, 2022 AVON - February 10, 2022 at age 82. She is survived by her children, Craig Wilson (Suzan Neu), Cheryll A. Fredrickson, David F. Wilson ( Judy Davies); grandchildren, Scott, Brian, Nicole Wilson, Dane Fredrickson, Chelsea Pankratz; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Amelia Wilson; several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl C. Wilson; grandson, Joshua Wilson; sister, Patricia Moulton; brothers, James, Robert, Richard Woods. Marilyn worked for and retired from Avon Central Schools after 30 plus years. Bernard G. Lusk February 12, 2022 Rush: Saturday, February 12, 2022 at age 88. Predeceased by his parents, George and Velda; son, Donald; brother, David; and sons-in-law, Gary Wright and Gregrey Madison. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Karen; children, Heidi Wright, Sandra ( John) Testa, David Adams and William Adams; grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Jacob, Leah and Andrea; great-grandchildren, Marlee, Addisyn, Claire, Kate and Walter; cousin, Michael (Barbara) Lusk; nephew, David Lusk Jr.; and brother-in-law, Michael Kozsdiy. Bernie was a retiree of GM and was founder and co-owner of George K. Lusk and Son Auctioneering. He was President of Empire Arms for over 50 years and was a life member of the NRA, active in the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited and the National Turkey Federation. He was listed in the Boone and Crockett record book for shooting a world class moose. He was also a master garage sale and flea market picker and wheeler and dealer. Bernie was involved in many organizations, but his greatest accomplishment was his love of family. Family and friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Friday 4-7pm. Edward J. Harrington February 7, 2022 Lakeville/Rochester: At age 80, Ed passed peacefully on February 7, 2022 at his Conesus Lake home with his family by his side. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Dansville, NY to the late William Sr. and Cecelia (Thielges) Harrington. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by siblings, William Harrington Jr., Patricia Genung, and Gary Harrington. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Karen (Gold) Harrington; son, Brian (Shirley Ann) Harrington of Brighton; and granddaughter, Meghan Grace Harrington; siblings, Rita Partridge and Cliff (Scharon) Harrington. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Edward attended New York State School for the Blind where he was the Section V champion wrestler as a freshman. Ed went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Cortland State. Ed enjoyed working with wood, building lamps, tables, speaker cabinets, and toys for his granddaughter including a large swing. Ed worked as a Social Worker for 25 years at the Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC). Ed involved his family in great times camping on 20 acres in West Sparta, great meals on Rosemount, and fun times on Conesus Lake. Family and friends called on Monday, February 14th, from 5-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY. Ed’s Funeral Mass was held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 15th, at St. Agnes Church, 96 Prospect Street, Avon, NY. Burial followed at St. Rose Cemetery, Lima.
