La collezione ‘Monochrome Culture’ si ispira alle tendenze monocromatiche delle tinte unite e ai riferimenti Pop Art. Lo stilista Kieran Harris afferma di aver voluto creare una collezione che mostri il modo in cui la cultura pop e l’arte contemporanea abbiano esercitato una forte influenza sulle tendenze attuali e non solo per quanto riguarda la moda capello. I due elementi, infatti, coesistono nello stile odierno.
Inspiration drawn from monochromatic trends of colour-blocking and Pop Art references was the foundation of ‘Monochrome Culture’. “I wanted to create a collection that shows how pop culture and contemporary art have a strong influence on current trends, not only in hair fashion, but how these two elements co-exist in today’s styling” says Kieran Harris.

La collezione si ispira ai “Teddy Boy”, una sub cultura britannica degli anni ‘50. Dandy rappresenta lo stile dei “dandies” dell’epoca edoardiana. I capelli acquisiscono sempre più mascolinità mediante barbe accuratamente tagliate, frange nette, ricci naturali e ciuffi, resi ancor più belli da tocchi di volume finali. I Dandies enfatizzavano il loro aspetto fisico attraverso la meticolosa attenzione per i dettagli, elemento che dona ulteriore intensità alla collezione. Lo stile si caratterizza per i panciotti, cravattini e completi giacca e cravatta simboli di un’era.
The inspiration for this collection comes from the ‘Teddy Boy”, a British subculture of the 1950s. Dandy represents the style of the “dandies” from the Edwardian period. The hair adopts a progressive masculine feel including precision barbering, heavy fringes through to natural curls and quiffs, which are embellished by textured and smooth finishes. The Dandies emphasized their desired physical appearance through meticulous attention to detail - this adds a great depth to the collection. The styling features waistcoats, maverick ties and tailored suites synonymous with the era.
