The lodge is located in the upper part of the Paraná River, just near the town of Florencia, in the province of Santa Fe. This is one of the most beautiful, untouched and evocative areas of Argentina. The lodge is located near the Ibera National Park. This park, known as Esteros del Iberá was originally populated by the indigenous Guaraní, who lived in northern Argentina and Paraguay. In Guaraní, ý berá translates to bright water and refers to the brightness of this element. The Park is, after the Pantanal, the second largest wetland on the planet, which is fed by rainwater, which floods a total area of about 20,000 square kilometers. It must be considered that
the Park protects a good part of this area of Argentina, made up of lakes, peat bogs, shallow marshes - where the embalsados are found, real islands of floating vegetation - connected to each other by a vast system of canals. The area is also one of South America’s major water reserves. This wetland is home to caimans, more than 350 species of birds, and elegant marsh deer wading in the shallows. On land, it’s not uncommon to come across groups of rheas, howler monkeys, and capybaras - the world’s largest rodent and a gentle herbivore. Even endangered species like the jaguar, green-winged macaw, and giant river otter are making a comeback,
thanks to an innovative recovery initiative. Boating is obviously the only way to visit this park, established in 2018. Fishing for dorado is self-explanatory, but it should be noted that the water in this area is often clear, so you can see the fish before they attack the fly, which is often handled on the surface. Almost all fishing in this area is done by boat, with the exception of small areas where you can wade, always with a guide. The lodge has double and triple rooms with private bathrooms and the proverbial food of this area will do the rest to ensure that the week of fishing will remain remembered for a long time.
