This practical manual is designed to cater the needs of UG students for field diagnosis of damage caused by various insect pests. The entire manual is divided into different sections such as cereals crops, sugarcane crop, pulses, fibre and cotton crop, oilseed crops, vegetable crop, fruits and plantation crops and finally the insect pest identification in stored grains. The last section is empty which is filled by the students on their exposure visit to the nearby Food corporation of India (FCI) Unit and Mega seed Unit of SKUAST-Jammu.
This will of course, equipped the students of UG to look after their gardening pest problems and enables them to suggest the management aspects of the different types of insect pest problems.
