IT’S TIME TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR OUR OWN! This month’s issue focuses on the best and brightest on both sides of the multifamily industry – management and suppliers. First, I want to recognize the outstanding contributions of our supplier members! See Page 28 for coverage of HAA’s record-breaking Sponsorship Auction. Without the financial and volunteer support of our supplier members, HAA could not present the amazing events and programs that our industry has come to rely on for networking and making connections. Take a look at the photos throughout this issue of ABODE and the event photo galleries online at www.haaonline.org for proof of what supplier support brings to the association. It’s massive and vital to our industry. So, how about showing our suppliers some love? Let’s say thank you in person during the HAA Business Exchange. This “speed dating” style event is a great way to show our vendors appreciation and offer them those allimportant connections. They need and deserve to have our management representatives there. You'll never know who you might meet and what new product or service you can discover. It’s tough for our supplier members, old and new, to get their foot in the door and this is an easy way to show them that we value what they do for us every day. Next up, it’s management’s turn – we have a special section covering the 2022 Houston Apartment Association’s Honors Award recipients and nominees! For our cover feature, we asked our winners a few personal questions. Please take the time to read the interviews and learn more about each of our recipients. This was a very competitive field of multifamily professionals, so you will find insights and inspiration from their stories. And don’t forget to reach out and congratulate them in person – wouldn't it be awesome for our winners to hear congratulations from a random member? It’s another great way to connect and expand our multiFAMILY contacts.
