The September Glass Art Tour to the Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia, hosted by Habatat Galleries exposed the participating clients to some of the most interesting artists working in glass today. The tour group had the honor of meeting and spending time with Jaroslava Brychtova and Vaclav Cigler. The group also visited some of the most impressive private collections which had been highly recommended by the local artists. The tour visited many local studios and experienced the work of a selection of artists who will be exhibiting at SOFA. These include Petr Hora, Peter Bremers, Martin Janecky, Michael Behrens, Vladimira Klumpar, Stepan Pala, Zora Palova, Bretislav Novak Jr, and Tomas Hlavicka. This VIP tour offered a preview of many of the stunning sculptures that will be seen at the fair. The tour also visited a few studios of some new exceptional artists including Jan Exnar and Josef Marek. These studio tours along with the museum visits, special tour events, deluxe accommodations, artist talks, elaborate meals, and private coach transportation made this tour the most exciting and successful ever! Next year’s Glass Art Adventure is planned for September 2016 – possibly visiting Poland, Germany and Budapest Hungary where there is a concentration of artists working with glass. Contact Sue and Al Weiner who will be organizing the details for next year’s trip. Habatat Galleries is looking forward to traveling with you in 2016! 800-945-4461 Ext. # 8110 alw@protrav.com or suew@protrav.com

We are very excited for this year’s International as we have invited some of the most interesting artists working with glass today! Many of the names you may be familiar with while others are exciting newcomers to our exhibition. We promise that the 44th will be one of the most memorable experiences of your year. We have invited over 100 artists representing over 25 different countries to send the finest examples of their work for you to enjoy! The gallery will also be offering over 500 works from the largest glass inventory in the United States. During last year’s exhibition we had over 50 participating artists attend the International. This was a unique opportunity for the attendees to meet the most noted artists in the glass world. The events you will experience include a strolling dinner and the famous MasterWorks Glass Auction planned for Thursday evening that will include many historic treasures from the early days of the American Studio Glass. Also, experience private home tours, demonstrations, lunches, dinners and parties along with an artist talks and panel that has been both interesting and controversial in the past. These events lead up to the Grand Opening on Saturday evening of the 44th Annual Glass International.
