The Sounds of Intent Framework aims to help children and young people, including those with learning difficulties or autism, engage with music. Based on ten years of practitioner-led research, it sets out a framework of musical development that spans all abilities. The Sounds of Intent software is free to use and is available online at: www.soundsofintent.org. Through easy-to-use interactive software, it enables teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, parents and carers to: assess children and young people’s level of musical development record and monitor attainment and progress download musical materials and ideas for activities share thoughts on a forum
