Hadleigh Town Council Archives group are holding an exhibition of photographs of Hadleigh Revisited in the Guildroom on the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th March from 10 am to 4 pm. Many of the photographs were taken within living memory. For new residents they will offer a picture of what has made Hadleigh the super Town that they have come to live in, and for those of us who have lived here a number of years they are a reminder of some of the people and places that we knew. There will be a few pictures of Hadleigh that were taken over a hundred years ago.

The pictures are mainly of people, places, shops, transport and schools. A reminder of Hadleigh’s recent past and present.

Using the Guildroom for the venue is also a reminder of how fortunate we are to have this unique centre of our Town, the Grade One listed buildings of the Church, Deanery Tower and Guildhall complex. We are so used to these buildings that we forget they have served the Town for hundreds of years and are still working buildings, not museums.

Entrance is £2 a head, (to cover expenses) and free for children. The Archives group hope you will enjoy our selection of photographs, and whilst looking at them you might wish to add your memories of Hadleigh to the Archives collection.
