Thankyou Mayor

The trustees and Coordinator Sue, members and volunteers for Memories Café would like to thank the Mayor for choosing to support us this year. We meet every Thursday for those living with dementia and carers. We have enjoyed the Mayor Gordon McCloud, and his wife Carol visiting, and our members have got to know them both much better over the past months, building a good rapport.

We particularly thank the Mayor for the recent donation of £835 raised by a fun quiz night in the Guildhall. This money will go towards equipment for activities which will stimulate those living with dementia, as well as for invited entertainers or craft leaders. We are pleased to report that our numbers are growing, so it is useful to have this financial input to help support the lively crowd. Any future donations will be for the Ansell Centre Charity as a whole, in recognition of its support for all community activities in the Ansell Centre.
