On January 16 we had our third cross country fixture of the season at Writtle College, Chelmsford. In what were tough, windy conditions our team produced some fantastic performances on a tough and treacherous two lap course hosted by Springfield Striders. Our senior team made up of 5 men and 5 ladies scored superbly and should be very proud of their efforts and excellent running from our Junior Hares. All showed determination and did us proud. Our senior runner of the day was Ryan McNeill and our junior runner of the day was Ella Baalham who was picking off runners as she came into finish.

Our second race on January 29 was held at Wix Equestrain Centre. Our brave and hardy juniors and seniors of took part in our fourth cross country fixture organised by Harwich Runners. On what was a tough course including jumping ditches and logs, our teams performed superbly with some great scoring especially with our junior team who again excelled!

Unfortunately we didn't have enough men to make a full team but the four men and three ladies who completed the course did themselves very proud. Our junior team continue to get better and better and after today have a very strong chance of finishing 4th in the league overall. Our senior runner of the day was Kay Oxford and our junior runner of the day was Aderne McDonald.
