Christmas in The Countryside

Chelsworth Christmas Fair gives shoppers the ideal opportunity to do some Christmas shopping in a lovely festive setting and without going anywhere near a crowded high street.

Chelsworth is undoubtedly one of Suffolk’s most beautiful villages and the Christmas Fair takes place inside one of it’s more spectacular buildings - the medieval All Saints Church, which nestles in a peaceful setting close to the River Brett. In fact the Church has no direct access from a road, so visitors park at a nearby farm and walk a short distance down the pretty village street to the church. It’s a real countryside Christmas experience.

The Church will be decorated for Christmas and seasonal music will add to the festive atmosphere. There will be around 23 stalls selling crafts, gifts, cards and foods. Light refreshments will be available, including plenty of mulled wine and mincepies. In addition tickets will be available for the well known Chelsworth Christmas Raffle, which will be drawn at the end of the day. As ever, the main prizes for the raffle will be a selection of luxury Christmas hampers which are put together by the villagers.
