Fidelis September Meeting

The delicious aroma of a risotto cooking the garlic followed by hot butter, and finely diced vegetables then the addition of the risotto rice. Then the steady addition of the hot stock ladle by ladle into the pan. The rice plumping up as each ladle is added and finally the plump succulent rice ready to be tasted and savoured. With one more addition the fillet of hake just cooked until it flaked away on top of the risotto.

This is the fabulous presentation the Fidelis ladies had from Justin Kett, award winning chef and owner of Fork delicatessen here in Hadleigh. In between cooking he gave us an overview of his cooking career and the many places he had visited on his travels and cooked at. Cooking in Thailand and America, then Australia and New Zealand. Coming back to the UK to cook in Taunton with a renowned chef, leading to Justin finally coming back to his place of birth in Suffolk where he cooked in various locations before finally coming to Hadleigh to set up his own business. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with some delicious tasting done at the end of the session. If you fancy joining Justin for a cookery class, keep a look out for his next set of dates when these will be happening.
