Place a stick vertically into the ground. Measure the stick’s height. Measure the length of the shadow cast by the stick. Measure the length of the shadow cast by the basketball pole. • Multiply the stick’s height by the length of the basktball pole’s shadow. • Divide your result by the length of the stick’s shadow. It will give you the result for the height of your school’s basktball pole.
