INTRODUCTION

Art removes limits of geography and time, and mixes between the imaginary research and the picture’s perfection. Sisters of Bagdad possess a time dimension unlike a legend, but like the celebration of an upcoming revolution that still has dimmed features. It, however, stems from the earth’s myths that lived the story and enlightened the world before burning the invaders. Here is Baghdad, rewriting History with human monuments during the moment depicting the fight of survival and identity, as it has been since ancient times… The source of this exhibition comes from the moment’s shadow and “Dhi Qar” that was immortalized by the anemones of Al-Nu’maan ibn al-Mundhir… inspiring the bleeding Sisters of Bagdad with an oriental beauty and magic, a generous Arab identity that even the Tatar couldn’t uproot.

‫نبـــذة عـن الفنـــــان‬ ‫‪ABOUT THE ARTIST‬‬

‫الفنان التشكيلي عوضه الزهراني‪..‬‬ ‫دائما ما احرص على تشكيل الفن كالحظة غـزيرة العاطفة‬ ‫وكثيفة االنساق المعرفية بمنظورها السيمائي‪ ,‬فأقود العمل‬ ‫الفني الى ابتكار وسائله الناجعة في تعميق لغة التخاطب‬ ‫التي تكتنف مفاهيم الجمال المركبة‪ ..‬ان تلك اللحظة مدخلنا‬ ‫البسيط لثقب مضي يعتبر شاهد زمنياً يجعل من فهم النمطية‬ ‫مسافته‪..‬‬ ‫عميق‬ ‫ٌ‬ ‫وليس القالب بعدا خالق في كتلته‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫انها زراعة جمالية فائقة الحساسية لقضايا مصادر الفنان‬ ‫والبحث في قناعاته العليا‪ ,‬والتي من خاللها يستطيع بمدركاته‬ ‫كل ما يعيه‪.‬‬ ‫بدقة اكبر ُ‬ ‫ٍ‬ ‫ان يسمع ويترجم‬ ‫ولدت بمدينة مكة المكرمة عام ‪1970‬م التصقت بماليين‬ ‫االصوات والروائح القادمة من اقصى بقاع االرض فتنت‬ ‫بإنسانها وعـشقت كثيرا من تفاصيل عابريها‪.‬‬ ‫حصل على الماجستير في التربية الفنية من جامعة ام القرى‪،‬‬ ‫شارك بالعرض مع جماعة ذاكرة المربع ‪1416‬هـ‪ ،‬ثم توالت‬ ‫مشاركاته الخارجية والداخلية‪.‬‬ ‫اقام ثالث معارض شخصية بجدة ‪ -‬معرض ‪ 3x 3‬المركز‬ ‫السعودي ‪1998‬م ‪ -‬مساحة تجريب ‪2000‬م ‪ -‬ثم تعالقات ‪2004‬م‬ ‫اتيلية جدة‪.‬‬ ‫معرض مسافة ‪2015‬م حافظ جاليري‪.‬‬ ‫معرض الفن السعودي المعاصر بباريس ومدينة كان ‪2016‬م‬ ‫برعاية ارمكو والسفارة السعودية‪.‬‬ ‫لندن ‪2016‬م شارك مع حافظ غاليري‪.‬‬ ‫الهند ‪2016‬م ‪ -‬مشاركة برعاية حافظ غاليري‪.‬‬ ‫اقام معرض مساير إلقامته بمدينة باريس برعاية مؤسسة‬ ‫المنصورية ‪2009‬م‬ ‫شارك وساهم في الكثير من الندوات والمناسبات الفنية‬ ‫والثقافية‪.‬‬ ‫‪28‬‬

The author always strives to compose art as a heightened emotional state, and shows how it blends with its cinematographic point of view. He thus leads the artwork to innovate and deepen its devices that stem from a deeper language enveloping composed beauty concepts… This moment is our simple entry point to pierce a passage considered as a time witness that makes understanding systems rather than forms that have spatial depth. It is a highly sensitive aesthetic gardening for an artist's resources, that are contribute to issues and the search at his highest convictions. He is thus capable of listening and translating everything he feels in great precision. Born in Mecca, in 1970, Awdh Al-Zahrani clung to millions of voices, sounds and scents flying from all over the world to Mecca, leaving him mesmerized by its humanity and fascinated by the passengers' uncountable details. Obtaining an MA in Art Education from Um Al Qurra University, Al-Zahrani participated in numerous international and local group exhibitions, including "Memory Box" (Jeddah, 1995).

Al-Zahrani held three solo exhibitions in Jeddah; "3x3 Exhibition" at The Saudi Center (1998), "Experimental Space" (2000) and "Correlation" in Atelier Jeddah (2004), as well as "Masayer" exhibition in Paris during his residency there sponsored by Al Mansouria Foundation in 2009. Al-Zahrani took part in many cultural events, talks and seminars. "Masafa" (Distance) exhibition in 2015 at Hafez Gallery, Saudi Contemporary Art exhibition in Paris and Cannes in 2016, sponsored by Saudi Aramco and the Saudi embassy. He participated in London 2016, with Hafez Gallery. India in 2016, with a participation supported by Hafez Gallery. Al-Zahrani took part in many cultural events, talks and seminars.
