Disclaimer “Provenance and storage of the donated wines were the responsibility of the donors. All wines accepted for his event had been stored under controlled conditions according to the donors. A panel of tasters researched wine reviews and eliminated some donated wines which clearly were “over the hill” The Foundation makes no warranties beyond donor descriptions of storage conditions and provenance. If you come across a very few bottles of wine which show a minimal puncture needle which is seen on the cap, these wines had oneounce samples removed and reviewed by experienced tasters, to be certain they were not over the hill. A Coravin System injected argon to replace any removed wine so as not to affect further aging of the wine nor its condition.”

white wines by the glass 2016 SONOMA CUTRER LE CUTRER NV - 1 ticket/glass This is not the regular Sonoma Cutrer. It is a notch higher. It is made from premier designated vineyard grapes and blended for year to year consistency by the Winery Master Tasters and Wine Makers. It is less sweet than the regular Cutrer, and has more sophisticated layers of flavor: green apple, quince, perhaps a hint of citrus, apricot?? See what you taste. It will open up a little in the glass as it warms and breathes a bit. Dry but not puckery. Plenty of crisp flavors at entry. Drinking it straight out of the ice tub will taste different than after a few minutes. Very good dry wine. Smooth slightly layered smooth finish not much of any oak. M/M.E 2014 WALTER HANSEL CUVEE ALYCE CHARDONNAY - 1 ticket/glass RATING 95 221, The Wine Advocate : His Chardonnay every year is named after Stephen Hansel’s mother. The 2014 Chardonnay Cuvée Alyce is a field blend of a Hyde and Hudson Old Wente. This vineyard always produces the smallest clusters and tiniest berries and, hence, the richest offering. It’s a stunner in 2014, with a light straw/gold color and terrific notes of pineapple, white peach, honeysuckle and citrus oil. Full-bodied and rich with great acidity, beautiful purity and subtle oak, this is a stunner to drink over the next 7-10 years. M/M.E 2016 EL ENEMIGO CHARDONNAY - 1 ticket/glass Rated 94 WA 5. With an even darker, more intense golden color but fresher aromas and flavors compared to the 2015 vintage, the 2016 El Enemigo Chardonnay has more noticeable notes of curry and nuts, with higher acidity, which gives it somewhat of a Jura character. It has 13.5% alcohol and 7.4 grams of acidity (in tartaric), so, very healthy natural parameters. It had a longer élevage sous voile, up to 13 months, so that probably explains why the yeasty and spicy character is more marked here than in the 2015. Winemaker Alejandro Vigil likes it like this, but he doesn’t want more of the flor character, as it’s not supposed to be a floral wine. Superb! It will be very interesting to see how this wine ages in bottle. 14,000 bottles were filled in September 2017. B/B.F
white wines by the glass (continued) 2014 CHATEAU RULLY EN ROSEY WHITE BURGUNDY - 1 ticket/glass Exclusive for its bright and charming whites, Rully is optimally situated in the northern part of the Côte Chalonnaise where light and sandy soils create fresh Chardonnays. Here they have perfumes redolent of acacia or honeysuckle, with bright peach and lemon flavors and a flinty finish. U.R. 2005 KISTLER ESTATE CHARDONNAY - 2 tickets/glass Rated 94. The 2005 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard possesses honeysuckle, tangerine, and orange blossom characteristics along with great acidity, plenty of minerality, a greenish hue to its light gold color, and fabulous texture, length, and richness. I suspect there is more honeysuckle in this offering than in some of its peers, but it is flirting with perfection ... it’s that compelling. M/M.E

red wines by the glass 2009 LARKMEAD ESTATE - 2 tickets/glass Rated 94 (WA) “The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with a rush of black fruit, smoke, licorice, graphite and tar. All the elements flow together gracefully towards the big, fleshy finish. There is plenty of tannin to support the fruit, suggesting the wine will drink well for a number of years. I especially like the way the wine keeps growing in the glass. This is one of the firmer, more vibrant 2009s readers will come across. Simply put, it is fabulous. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029 M/M.E 2014 CONFIDENCIAL RESERVA TINTO - 1 ticket/glass JAMES SUCKLING 93 RATED WINE SPECTATOR WINE OF THE YEAR: lots of bold fruit, plums & dark berries, with ripe firm tannins: if you like a big mouthful of wine or if you are not familiar with a very good Tinto wine this is a red to try. The tasting bottles have been double decanted to open up the flavors faster. M/M.E 2015 HEWITT CABERNET SAUVIGNON - 2 tickets/1 glass Rated 95 WA Drink Date 2020-2045 Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnetpurple color and fragrant nose of cedar, violets, potpourri and crushed blueberries over a core of black currants and plums, plus a hint of dusty earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals impressive energy, with tons of perfumed black fruit and earthy layers supported by firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and lively. 2,300 cases were made B/B.F 2017 ANTOINE SUNIER REGNIE - 1 ticket/glass Rated 92 WA Drink 2018-2025. Rich aromas of cassis, plums, dark chocolate and loamy soil introduce the 2017 Régnié from Antoine Sunier. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, savory and concentrated, with a deep core of fruit and youthfully chewy tannins. A Beajolais on steroids compared to Nouveau Beaujolais. M/M.E
red wines by the glass - continued 2016 PISONI ESTATE PINOT NOIR 1 ticket/1 glass Rate 93 Drink 2018-2025. Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir Estate has amazingly pure notions of crushed cranberries, Bing cherries and red currants with touches of garrigue, tilled soil and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, it delivers bags of crunchy red berry flavors and a lovely satiny texture with a very long, lively finish. 896 cases produced M/M.E.

rare spirits by the glass MOUNT GAY XO (EXTRA OLD) RESERVE CASK 1 tickets/taste (A Barbados Flagship Rum) Capable of being used as a fine after dinner brandy, without the bite of some French brandies, this merits comparison with any others to smell and taste. Only one bottle to taste and one bottle for bids. C/J.W CENTANARIO RESERVE 25 Year Old Rum (Costa Rica) 1 tickets/taste A gold award winning rum. So smooth one can sip without diluting and without ice. Very rare and hot fruitcake on the tongue. See what you taste. Only one bottle to taste and one bottle for bids. M/M.E LAGAVULIN SINGLE MALT 1 ticket/taste (master of maltreview) A much sought-after single malt with the massive peat-smoke that’s typical of southern Islay - but also offering richness and a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting tipple. The 16 year old has truly become a benchmark Islay dram from the Lagavulin distillery. M/M.E 12 Yr BALVEENIE DOUBLE WOOD 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION - 1 tickets/taste Nose: Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla. Taste: Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavours ~ nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry. Finish: Long and Warming Bourbon and Sherry case aged B/B.F ZACAPA 23 YEAR OLD RUM - 1 tickets/taste Guatemala - Smooth aroma honeyed with caramel and fruitiness. Sweet and mouth-warming with hints of oak, vanilla, dried fruits and some liquorice. The finish is long and sweet with vanilla, coffee, smoke and honey and it has the tiniest amount of marzipan creeping up to the palate. R/S.C
after dinner drinks by the glass Rare aged rum competes very favorably with any cognac or similar brandy. The older they are the smoother. Try one or two to compare after dinner CREAM BOURBON - 1 tickets/taste A special treat from the Buffalo Trace Distillery (Pappy’s Bourbon) Kentucky- Bourbon Cream is handcrafted using Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, making it a perfect marriage of rich delicious cream and smooth Kentucky bourbon. You can enjoy it chilled, on the rocks, or pour it in a cup of coffee for an indulgent after dinner treat. This makes Baileys taste watery! D/N.L
