2023 IMPACT REPORT

LETTER FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Dear Supporters:

This year our Impact Report focuses on The People of the Haig Point Foundation; who we have helped, who are our donors, who are our volunteers, who is our support team and who the Board of Directors are and what roles each of us serves.

During 2022, the Foundation hosted two successful fundraisers, our 4th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament in April and the second Virtual Silent Auction in November. Our Board Members hosted a Preview Party to kick off the auction at board member Doug Egly’s home. The party raised funds and awareness about our Scholarship Program fund. We are grateful to our island community for the donated auction items and to those that purchased them as well as attended the party.

Our golf tournament grew by several foursomes this year. This added to our success by allowing us to get the word out about what the Foundation’s role is on the island while continuing to raise the funds necessary to help serve Daufuskie Island.

Haig Point Foundation strives to partner and collaborate with the other Daufuskie Island nonprofits to help to identify critical needs on the island that we can help support. In March and September, we review Grant applications and award funds to non-profits serving Daufuskie Island requiring project funding. Every June and December, our board reviews scholarship applications. We award scholarships to both island residents and Haig Point employees looking to better themselves and improve their job qualifications or learn a specific talent which they can use to serve Daufuskie Island and its’ residents.

Please take a moment to read our updated Mission and Vision statements on the back cover. They more properly reflect why we are here. Inside you will get to know The People of the Haig Point Foundation and how your donations helped support our island this past year. Thank you for your generosity.

Sincerely,

HaigPointFoundation.org / Info@HaigPointFoundation.org P. O. Box 6365, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina 29938 843-341-8194
