MARCH MADNESS If you watched the NCAA tournament last month, you probably heard the commentators talk about “moving without the ball” – a player moving to position for an open shot. The same is true in tennis. Very often, the winning shot in a point is the result of a Lori Dickert player moving to an offensive position while their partner is playing the ball. Too often, we see players ready to return the ball if it comes to them, or watching their partner hit, but not putting themselves in a position to poach or put pressure on the opponents.
