ABOUT HAIG POINT Haig Point is a historic private community located on Daufuskie Island in South Carolina. From 1735 through the founding of our club in 1986, our land has been of great importance to the surrounding island. With endless opportunities, Haig Point Club has become a premier destination for members with its 29 golf holes, tennis and fitness facilities, swimming, and beach recreation. First designed in 1986, our course is 20 holes long and designed to bring out the best in the game and golfer. Jones’ returned to Daufuskie Island in 2007 to restore the greens and sharpen the course’s legacy as one of the best in the nation. We increased the yardage from 7,150 to 7,380 and increased our USGA rating. Additionally, our 9-hole Osprey course allows you to get in some game play without having to commit to a full 18 holes.

R E E S J O N E S ’ S I G N AT U R E CO U R S E Our Signature course has appeared in Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Courses” and “Best in State,” and has earned a coveted position in Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 in the World.” When we say we truly have the best, we aren’t lying. Part of the fun of playing our Signature course is the fact that both the 8th and 17th holes have two holes to choose from making this a true challenge. Par is 72 on this 74.9 rated course. The Bermuda grass has a slope rating of 142 and can be challenging but is completely worth it.

HAIG POINT FERRY COMPANY Led by Richard Inglis, Director of Transportation, a fleet of four boats run 18 round trips a day to the Haig point Embarkation on Hilton Head Island. In addition, a water taxi runs 24 hours a day to/from Harbour Town. Once visitors arrive to Haig Point they travel by golf cart around the island. We appreciate the wonders of our community in the open air, not from the confines of a car. The Haig Point Transportation Team will provide quick, comfortable and reliable transportation to and from Daufuskie Island for the your event.

T R A N S P O RTAT I O N O F G O L F B AG S Haig Point suggests that golf bags be delivered to the Haig Point Embarkation the evening prior to your event. All bags should have a bag tag indicating the players name. Once bags arrive they will be transported to our clubhouse and put in to storage. The bags will be loaded on to cart and park at the driving range in predetermined pairings.

G ET T I N G P L AY E R S TO H A I G P O I N T Guests will travel from our Embarkation Center on Hilton Head Island to Haig Point by ferry. Regularly scheduled boarding and departure times are plentiful and charters can also be arranged.

GETTING AROUND HAIG POINT Guests will be greeted on Haig Point and escorted to their golf carts. Guests will then be led to the Clubhouse. Guests then walk a short distance from the Clubhouse to the Practice Range, there they will have access to their golf bag and cart. At the conclusion of warm-up, guests will be led to the appropriate hole for the shotgun start. After the round is finished, volunteer members will lead the foursomes to a predetermined location to wait for others to complete their round. A simple cocktail reception can be arranged for waiting players. While players wait, staff will unload the golf bags from the carts, and put them on a trailer to be sent back to the ferry. Guests will drive their golf carts back to the dock.
