We decided from the outset that the best approach was to set a manageable yet meaningful regular donation level, drawn from an increasing group within Haileybury’s sizeable community and this is now beginning to bear fruit. As a reminder, to become part of the 1892 Circle requires a donor to have given, or to pledge to give, at least $500 per annum over a minimum of a three-year period (all being tax deductible,

• The Circle currently comprises 64% alumni, 8% current staff, 27% current parents, with 1% being others from within our community.

• Within the OH alumni membership, the reach of donors by leaving year spans 1958 all the way up to 2001.

• Circle members are currently making a valuable contribution to fourteen Foundation scholarships.

Welcome to the Summer edition of the Haileybury Foundation News. The past year has been an eventful one for many varied reasons – for your Foundation, I am delighted to say it has been eventful for very positive reasons.

While undoubtedly our key ‘headline’ event of the year was the inaugural Giving Day, the ‘quiet achiever’ award must surely go to our 1892 Circle of regular donors and its growth in recent times.
