For us to collectively reach our ambitious ‘50 and 50 by 30’ goal – being 50 scholarships and a total corpus (investments and bequests) of $50 million by 2030 – the growth of our regular donors will be playing a critical role.

Here are the key highlights of where the 1892 Circle now stands: nor Noriah (Year 9 in 2023) would have had the opportunity to attend Haileybury without the support of our generous community. We are thrilled to be able to award each a Haileybury 130 Scholarship, celebrating Haileybury’s 130th year of providing education.

• The current membership is 98, with an average age of 58 years and an average total donation of $4,168.

Marley loves AFL, basketball, weekly keyboard lessons, surfing and skateboarding. She is an avid reader and enjoys Morris Gleitzman books. Noriah’s interests include writing stories, reading fiction books, playing soccer and gardening. She also has a special passion for dancing, in particular a Korean dance known as KPop.

On behalf of the Foundation and its recipients, I would personally like to thank all 1892 Circle regular donors: you have played, and will continue to play, such an important part in our collective success.

What a significant day was Thursday, 11 August 2022.

The Haileybury community joined together and its collective generosity changed the lives of two wonderful young ladies in just 24 hours.

Over $180,000 was raised, which will be used to fund two scholarships from 2023 onwards. Neither Marley (Year 7 in 2023)

Donations of all sizes have made a significant difference. Thanks to the generosity of our matching donors, all donations from our 193 donors on the day were doubled.

Donations came from an array of groups within our community including alumni (66%), past parents (15%), current parents (11%) and staff (4%).

There was significant engagement among Old Haileyburians with the 2010–2019 alumni cohort coming out in force and providing 27% of the alumni population, while the 1960–1969 members were equally significant with 21%.

Thank you to all members of the Haileybury community who donated so generously on the day.
