Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Hala is a professional Interior Designer and creative based in Dubai. With a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Minor degree in Design Management from the American University of Sharjah, Hala took the first steps in her career towards the development world. As a multi-disciplinary creative, her experience is built on project managing and co-designing a range of high-quality boutique Show Homes, Low-rise buildings, High-rise towers, and Private Luxury Villas located across Dubai, UAE. Hala has been recently shortlisted as CID 2022’s Young Interior Designer of the Year, named in CID’s Top 10 Young Talents in The Power 50 List and shortlisted as “Rising Star of the Year” at the INDEX Design Awards in 2021.

• Managing the projects full Interior Design scope with the appointed design consultant throughout all stages of Pre-Concept Design, Concept Design, Schematic Design and Developed Design while coordinating with other stakeholders in parallel.

• Ensuring the overall design is neutral, modern & contemporary to cater to 85+ different nationalities across the globe.
Hala believes that when something is done well, it has the propensity to change mindsets and inspire a better lifestyle. She aims to continuously work with a team of leaders on delivering crafted spaces that are set to establish a strong standard and distinct benchmark.
• Providing full Specifications Selections for Materials, Sanitary-ware, Appliances, Ironmongery, Lighting and Electrical.
Project Management
• Working on providing a unique identity for each project to stand out in the market.
• Working on a project program and target deadlines for each design stage.

• Collaborating with several internal and external teams such as architects, engineers, site, procurement, contractors, and suppliers to achieve the desired quality and project outcome.

Current Role What I do...
The goal of each project focuses on creating a harmonious one-of-a-kind experience for multi-family interactive communities that cater to people’s lifestyles and needs by providing modern homes and cutting-edge set of amenities such as multi-purpose lobbies, kids play areas, residence clubhouse, fitness studios, outdoor swimming pool and courtyard seating areas. With a unique concept and story behind every project, the design aesthetic and functionality of each residence is set to captivate and stand out from other real-estate properties in the local market.
• Guiding the full design process while being heavily involved in space planning and layouts.
• Selecting FF+E items that suite the project quality, budget, timeline, and target aesthetic.
• Working alongside the marketing team to schedule interior photo shoots, create design worthy content to be managed by the team for socials, and work on company design awards submissions.
• Attending joinery factory visits to ensure key mock-up units are fabricated to a standard quality.
Interior Design
• Coordinating Art Packages with appointed art consultants while collaborating with local young talents to support aspiring talents in the city.
• Snagging joinery units, overall apartments / spaces, and interior public areas.
• Providing direction on project mood, look and feel for apartments and public amenities.
Hala’s role entails managing the interiors and the design process of each project through all stages starting from concept design all the way to site coordination and building handover while being conscientious and detail oriented towards deadlines and designated project budgets. Her role also includes guiding the final touches of the full selection package for all furnishings, accessories and featured art pieces by highlighted artists in each property.
Identifying target audience, key goals and developing project strategies to meet the designated budget and timeline.
• Reviewing drawing packages and providing the appointed consultants with effective feedback to ensure a quality package will be tendered.
• Attending regular site meetings and visits to ensure all interior design related issues that may come up are resolved.

Belgravia III 2022 Project Status - Handed Over Design Consultant - Ellington x S2 Interiors Role - Interior Design, Project Management, Staging and Styling The project is inspired by the lively coastal shores of the United Arab Emirates. Designed to capture a relaxing beach essence that is brought to your home, the color scheme brings neutral beige sand tones that contrast with fresh pops of crisp whites and warm greys to create a cozy yet bright palette that reflects the beach ardor and tranquility. The kitchens feature an elegant and decorative white round pebble mesh tile that is extenuated with a continuous under cabinet LED strip light. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms are designed to be fully equipped with adequate storage spaces that help keep a home fresh, well organized an uncluttered. Role - Creating a Design Brief, Interior Design, Project Management, Staging and aim of creating a one-of-a-kind robust and diverse community, Harrington House’s design is based on a holistic approach to urban living, providing wellness and sustainability elements that cater to a happy and healthy lifestyle. The breath taking Arabian desert and gazelles, have inspired this projects warm and compelling palette. The color scheme is a mix of soft and light white, neutral beige and warm ash tones contrasting a striking hit of charcoal and black accents. The property is filled with elegant handcrafted art that expresses the textures and raw beauty of the Arabian landscape. The Architecture, Landscape and Interiors all tie in together to create this thought provoking and elegant new property to the JVC community and Ellington Properties portfolio. This project was fully designed in-house and only drafted by AWAJ.

The Portman is situated on a quiet residential street with easy access to the communities’ amenities and main throughway’s. newest addition to the community’s skyline is an elegant crisp white low-rise tower comprising 173 individually curated apartments. The slick, contemporary style has a contrasting palette of white and timber. The entry is highlighted by rich and textural dark travertine and grand lobby windows providing a peek into the art and experience that lies within. The Portman is a young and fresh take on vibrant urban living. With coastal vibes this breezy palette offers a neutral and comforting backdrop to the vibrant lives of our happy homeowners.
