DAY ONE SAP shows how a large company can take a stand for “socially responsible” engagements and sustainable business. The creation of a new winning system can accelerate progress towards the achievement of the SDG by inspiring the next-generation of SDG advocates. Ann Rosenberg Senior Vice President UN Partnerships at SAP & Global Head of SAP Next-Gen

Screw the Apologies; How to lead with confidence •

Explore what confidence is, what it sounds like, and who it often sounds like. (Hint, there is a double standard for women and how their confidence is perceived). Examine the Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANT’s) and cognitive distortions (messed-up thinking styles) that can fuel our perfectionist tendencies. Discuss how destructive and delusional the pursuit of perfectionism is, and the consequences to both our confidence and careers (i.e. we tend to avoid and procrastinate thereby living in our safe zones, instead of taking risks). Explore strategies to move ourselves OUT of our damn comfort zones, increase our confidence and improve our communication skills.

Case Study Leading Organizations Through Transformation •

Redefining Winning What does it really mean to win? We need to redefine winning to make sustainable living the new normality. We must innovate with purpose, with goals which reach beyond conventional financial and commercial scorekeeping. Corporates, startups, governments, institutions and citizens need to come together to scale impact for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Shaping and transforming our own individual careers and con-tributions or implementing massive business projects, launching new products, technologies and processes Deal with Obstacles head on: asking/ pressure versus nagging/complaining, partners versus adversaries, authenticity vs. sac-rificing & compromising. performance, influence and satisfaction. Hold on to your idea: Building resilience: anything that is worth it, takes time, partnerships, skills and capacity -don’t give up.
