TRISHA COOK: The Trisha Cook Team, Keller Williams Realty

risha Cook has specialized in the Pooler real estate market for a solid of 14 years. She became licensed as a Realtor in 2007; she talks about that being the toughest time to get into real estate in recent memory, and she also attributes survival to her strong work ethic today, as well as successes. She loves to say, “those who survive in the weak markets thrive in the strong ones.” Trisha recalls, “it was a very tough time to be a real estate agent.” At the time she was a single Mom, living in “historic” Pooler, balancing a second job to make ends meet and get her business off of the ground. Toward the end of the first year, she took a leap of faith and quit the second job and hasn't looked backed. In 2020, her real estate team served 430 families and their real estate needs. Trisha says that being a woman in the real estate business in 2021 is such an opportunity. You are your only glass ceiling and your business truly grows to the extent that you do. There are no limitations on your growth in this sector because of your gender and there truly is a niche market for everyone to fall into, whether it be young moms, millennials, military spouses, professionals or 100 other potential ways that you can succeed. She is more than happy to help any woman through this journey, knowing they will reap the rewards of their efforts.

Trisha has been a member of the Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce for many years. She served on the Ambassador Council and has been on the Board of Directors for three years. Her business was awarded the Chamber’s 2019 Pooler Business of the Year. Trisha currently serves as the 2021 Vice President of the Board. In addition, she has helped start and serves on two Pooler based Business Networking International (BNI) chapters. Other ways she and her team have chosen to serve the City of Pooler through the years include starting the “It’s Cooler in Pooler” community page to keep the community “in the know” about everything going on in Pooler. That page has grown to over 30,000 followers since 2009. What Makes Her Team Unique The Promise: Trisha and her team pride themselves on always finding innovative ways to add value to their clients. In 2020, they implemented something they call “The Promise.” This is their promise to you that they are going to give the highest level of service at all times and will do everything they can to anticipate your needs more than you do. “We want to remain proactive instead of reactive and to provide value at every turn.” VIP Program: Trisha’s team has developed a very unique client VIP program that supports over 100 local businesses while also continuously giving back to their TCT clients for an amazing win/win for all involved. The program is free to participate.

Moving Truck: They have a moving truck to offer her clients and local charities, churches and schools as a free service. Free Events: On a normal Covid-free year, the team hosts everything from a Christmas fest with free Santa pictures, ice cream and vendors to a free Pie Day on Thanksgiving for her clients. Charitable Giving: She and her team also give back a portion of every closing commission to a local Pooler-based charity, Gillard & Company, who advocates for independent living assistance for young adults fresh out of the foster care system. They also give back a portion of their commission to those who serve our community as their way to say thank you for their services, from police officers and nurses to firefighters, military and teachers. During her free time, Trisha enjoys spending time with her family and on the water. Eleven years ago, she reconnected with a high school friend, Allen Hayes, and they have been married since then. They have 3 grown children, 2 rescue dogs and one adorable grandson. Allen is also a Realtor now and they work together on the team. Trisha has chosen to keep her business right here in Pooler. Why? “Pooler has been at the center of epic growth and watching this since I bought my first home here in 1999 has been nothing short of amazing. If I can be even a small part of shaping that, I’m all in.” n
