BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: HOLCOMB’S BED AND BREAKFAST Holcomb’s Bed and Breakfast is located in the village of Hamilton, within walking distance to local shops, restaurants and Colgate University. The Holcomb family purchased the property in May of 2010 and opened for business in October, followed by a complete renovation that aimed to keep the “country charm” while adding modern design and comforts. This property features five en-suite rooms that vary in size and shape; within each of these rooms is a private bathroom, cable television, free Wi-Fi and other amenities. Complimentary breakfast is provided. Guests who stay at Holcomb’s Bed and Breakfast have access to the kitchen and dining area for coffee, tea, and snacks. They are also welcome to relax in in the many sitting areas upstairs, in the living room, or (when weather permits) on the back patio. Having been open just over three years, Holcomb’s Bed and Breakfast has worked to connect with the Hamilton community as well as those traveling to Colgate University. Each year they host guests that come to the area for the Bouckville antique show, family reunions, weddings, and golf tournaments, as well as families touring the area’s colleges, parents of current students, alumni and guests of the University.
