7 knitting techniques from the booklet
An Inspirational Knitting Workshop With every new book that I do I try to include new techniques for my knitting audience... this one is no exception with ďŹ ve distinct stitch patterns used in six ways to explore! During this workshop you will learn the methods for zigzag shortrowing, an allover buttonhole stitch, two different patterns with chevrons, surface weaving, slip stitching for texture and lattice cabling. We will be looking at the garments from the book and swatching the techniques. A basic understanding of knit and purl is all you need to know.

Workshop length: 3 hours/half day or 6 hours/full day. Materials needed: Several self-striping yarns are recommended with needles in correct size for chosen yarn. Yarns used in the Reections booklet are: Poems, Poems Silk, Poems chunky and Poems Puzzle by Universal Yarn. These should be on hand for the workshop participants to purchase. Garments from the book will be available to try on during the workshop. Book signing can be done in association with the workshop. Cost to shop: $350 for half day / $650 for full day workshop for 7 participants. $40 for half day / $70 for full day for each additional participant. Trip costs:
Up to 300 dollars for airfare. $10 per hour for driving in my own car. 100 dollars toward hotel if applicable. Shop is responsible for local transportation.
