ABOUT
MARSHMALLOW is a fashion forward innovation: a new brand giving fashion back its fun. Based on the colour pink due to its playful and vibrant connotations, the womenswear orientated brand allows the young female generation to add a little colour back into their wardrobe. Shapely silhouettes combined with timeless capsule pieces form the basis of MARSHMALLOW’s new clothing range. As part of this series, MARSHMALLOW has teamed up with other leaders in various markets from accessories to carbonated drinks in order to stamp the MARSHMALLOW ‘M’ on everything from watches to Coca-Cola. These collaborations feature equally as fun and playful advertising campaigns. Conceptual, creative and endearing; it is with hope that you find the MARSHMALLOW brand as exciting as it was to create. The Coca-Cola Company
10 11
Renowned as one of the largest companies in the world, Coca-Cola was invented May 8th, 1886 by John Pemberton. Not only was the taste of Coca-Cola a significant one, but also was (and is) its advertising campaigns. After a decrease in sales following the arrival of the 21st Century, in 2004 Coca-Cola re-introduced 40 year Cola veteran Neville Isdell to help with the company’s loss.
“
We have lost our vision. There is no clarity about where we are going and what we need to do. We need to go back to our roots and start seeing ourselves as more than a carbonated soda business. We are in a creative-service business.
“
- Neville Isdell
Since the creative input of Isdell in 2004, Coca-Cola’s advertising vision has improved drastically- converting back to its more traditional design concepts, Coca-Cola now often use original old photos and bottles as a way to connect to the customer. The company have also embraced some modern elements in the form of collaborations with designers and brands such as Marc Jacobs and Moschino. Shown the right is MARSHMALLOW x Coca-Cola- a conceptual photo from the advertisement series promoting the fusion of the two brands coming 6th August.
