Welcome to the May 2018 issue of Handmade Magazine. We’re celebrating our 10th Anniversary this year and our extra Handmade Market on 5 & 6 May is perfectly timed for the week before Mothers’ Day, making it the best place to find that special gift for mum. Within the pages of this magazine, we have a selection of beautiful homewares, jewellery, paper products, fashion and food that will all make ideal presents to say thank you to Mum. All of our May stallholders have been carefully curated to represent the best in Australian design and produce, so not only will the market be packed with gorgeous things, but you will be able to support local small businesses with artisan skills. This magazine is a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with what Handmade has to offer, with a helpful directory listing all those attending. Not only will you be able to buy for mum, but the market is a great day out, so bring her along, treat her to a glass of bubbles in our pop up Champagne bar, attend a floral workshop, shop for gifts (and maybe even some things for yourself ) and try one of the delicious dishes in our street food area. And don’t forget to share your visit on social media #handmadecbr The Market is open at Exhibition Park in Canberrra, from 10am until 4pm on both days, with free entry and free parking. To celebrate our tenth year and Mothers’ Day, we have something very special planned for our extra Handmade Market on 5 & 6 May. In the Parkes Room, the central hall between our design and food pavilions, we have organised a pop up Champagne bar where you can bring your mum (or girlfriends or loved ones) for a special treat. With bubbles flowing and delicious sweet treats on offer, this beautifully decorated space will be the perfect place to relax and really enjoy your Handmade shopping experience. A careful selection of stalls will guide you in your Mothers’ Day gift shopping, with candles, jewellery, homewares, bath products, chocolates and fashion all curated to help you with the perfect present. Take Mum’s photo in front of our gorgeous flower wall, or have a sketch done of the occasion and then wander the halls, where you will find the best in gifts and gourmet selections. You might want to buy mum a pretty posy of fresh flowers from our flower stall, or even book into a floral workshop. Head to our website and Facebook page for details and booking links.
