Handmade loves Canberra. We love its scenery, seasons, food scene and events. And one of its biggest events will be taking place in three halls of EPIC on 23 & 24 March. As Autumn approaches, we will be celebrating our city at its finest with 270 stalls of fashion, jewellery, homewares, art and children’s treasures. And our Gourmet Food Hall will, as ever, be full of food and drink stalls, with shoppers stocking up for their Autumn menus and tasting Australia’s finest produce. Throughout the pages of this magazine, we will be showcasing some of the designers and producers who will be attending the March Market. Many of them have chosen only to come to Handmade in Canberra, and this exclusivity is noted with our exclusive icon. Make a note of them so you won’t miss out. With Easter and Mother’s Day fast approaching, we have also hinted at the Easter treats and gifts for her that you’ll find at the market so you can start preparing. Our directory of designer and producers can also be found within these pages, listing all of the March stallholders. And if you want to read more, head to our online directory, where they are presented by category. www.handmadecanberra.com.au Thank you for supporting Australian small business and we’ll see you at the market!

our christmas market

The Christmas shopping lists were well and truly crossed off at the Handmade Market in early December. On the Friday night, the halls were packed with revellers as people ate, drank, chatted and picked up perfect gifts. Then, over the weekend, we welcomed thousands of people to browse the halls, soak up the atmosphere, snack with friends, stroll with family and smile at all the festive cheer. Our special twilight event will be back later this year, but there are still three markets in between, so you won’t miss out on shopping opportunities. 5

celebrating our city

Canberra comes into its own in the Autumn, with stunning scenery, fun events and beautiful weather. So many of our designers are Canberrans, or love coming to the capital. And many also design pieces that celebrate it, with souvenirs that are a cut above. It’s easy to see why Handmade loves CBR.
