The realization of the topic is depicted based on the future of art in Malaysia significantly. Culture and the arts are important to us because they enhance our quality of life, contribute to a sense of national identity and add to the attractiveness of our country.Apart from the direct economic benefits that accrue to arts and cultural activities, creative and artistic endeavors will also play a decisive role in the future economy. To ensure sustained growth in the long run, Malaysia must forge an environment that is conducive to innovations, new discoveries and the creation of new knowledge.Building up an artistic and creative buzz will thus help us to attract both local and foreign talents to contribute to the dynamism and growth of our economy and society. For the site issue, Pasar Seni has long been known as Malaysian art hub. However, where is the ‘seni’ in Pasar Seni now? This thesis try to revive Pasar Seni area to its name. 2012

Introduce ceremonial entrance from in front of LRT station to the river promenade

Introducing water + art activities

The idea is to reconnect Pasar Seni and its art. By introducing art as new nodes. ( The street activities will sprawl and the area will be lively uplifting Pasar Seni as its name.

More pedestrian friendly elements to the river stretch

REVIVING THE OLD The main ideas is to create a multiuse building on the plot of land. Most of the ground level will be the point of interaction between public and the art students. The site itself has its art fan. For example, there are many commercial ads done at the existing structure and grafiti artist use the structure as the canvas. The art college will attract people and colour the neigbourhood context with art. The idea is to attract young designers and artist to open up their galleries etc. The building will also continueing Bukit Bintang tourist street

A week collaboration project with students from UiTM and Deakin University Malaysia. The intent was to celebrate Australian art culture through a mixed-use gallery within a lively Malaysian context, promoting sustainable urban experience and environmental awareness. Australian culture has been shaped by its landscape. The iconically Australian poem “My Country, describes its many contrasting features. Sweeping plains and ragged mountain ranges; Droughts and flooding ranges; Beauty and terror. from this, the concept of Raw versus Refined emerged.

A sustainable skyscraper is often perceived as a tall building with green technologies which is environmentally friendly and meets human needs. The truth of the matter is that a skyscraper may achieve the first criteria, but not the latter. Yet, we strive to build higher & greener skyscrapers without addressing the core problems of a city and its inhabitants. This projects seeks to address the core problems and issues of a city and justify the need of building a skyscraper that is self sustainable. The city of choice is the very own heart of Malaysia; which is Kuala Lumpur.
