Correction: In a previous version of this report we published the map of sales for the past 18 months, (41 sales), but the statistics for the past 12 months, (26 sales). This version the statistics and map are both for 18 months. The main difference was the total volume of $16 million vs $26 million. Most of the other statistics were exactly the same or very similar with the exception of the average price per foot for 12-months was $229 and for 18-months $219.

Paradise Park History
The Paradise Park neighborhoods just south of Shea and north of Mountain View are an exceptional part of Scottsdale to live in. Greenbelts feed through the neighborhoods, under Mountain View road to Cochise Elementary School and Mountain View Park. That greenbelt path joins Scottsdale Trail which winds along lakes, golf courses, and greenbelts all the way to Tempe Town Lake near ASU. In the morning the greenbelts are full of neighbors walking their dogs, and children walking or riding their bikes to school. On the weekends the fields of the school and the park are filled with hundreds of parents and children for soccer games.
In 1944 the Anne and Fowler McCormick purchased the 160-acre ranch on the corner of Indian Bend and Scottsdale Road from Merle Cheney. Eventually the ranch would grow to 4,236-acres. Anne McCormick loved Arabian horses and devoted an 80-acre parcel near Pima & Shea, Paradise Park, as an equestrian center devoted to Arabian horses. Paradise Park was home to the Arizona Arabian Horse Show from 1956 to 1968 prior to being moved to West World. Today the Paradise Park neighborhoods, are sometimes referred to as the “Horses”, because many of the street names are types of horses.
