Project Scope

We were tasked to design a kindergarten through fourth grade elemantary school in West Haven, Utah. We designed a common classroom plan to be used throughout the entire building as well as the interior for a media center in the heart of the school.

Concept

Designed after the red rocks and native sage leaves of the Utah deserts, we wanted to create a feeling of warmth and growth in the West Haven Elementary. Growth is an important factor in education and we display this using lively greenery and architecture that looks as though it has been formed from the building itself. We use a combination of a soothing sage green mixed with the playful orange tone seen in the archways and canyons of Utah.

Project Scope

Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, North Carolina, Scout’s is a soul food restaurant combining the southern charm of the Carolina’s witha fresh & hip feel of this college town. The comfortable and casual setting at Scout’s welcomes people form all backgrounds and ages. This space perfectly combines simplicity with interest making it a perfect spot for lunch or dinner.

Design Concept

The concept for Scout’s soul food restaurant was based on the hit Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom. We decided to use a lot of different textures and colors in this project along with natural and vintage elements to emulate the vintage feel of the film. The casual dining space is perfect for anyone walking downtown Asheville to stop for casual dining or a nice dinner with family.

Sq. Footage:

Project Scope

The Next Office Project was a design competition with furniture manufacturer, Steelcase. We used only steelcase furniture and systems in this project and were tasked to remodel the interior of an Atlanta, Georgia satelitte office for the technology and health company, Next. This project was a 11,500 square foot 2 story office building.

Design Concept Next and Atlanta alike are two entities that have a strong focus on communtiy, teamwork, and high energy activity. Much like a beehive there are multiple worker bee’s striving for one goal, buzzing about to create something bigger than themselves. The Next satelite building will be a place for collaboration, interconnection, and expasion on new ideas.

Greenhaus Grocery _

Location: Time Frame: Project Type: Software: Sq. Footage:

Galena, Illinois 14 Weeks Retail Revit, Sketchup, Lumion, Photoshop, Indesign 9,100 Sq. Ft.

_

Project Scope

The idea for this project was to create a health food & grocery store to be built in downtown Galena. We wanted the space to be welcoming and feel like it was built specifically for the location. We sectioned the interior so each area would have its own space but still feel open and easy to manouver. The design of Green Haus grocers shows the historic past of Galena while incorporating some modern twists to add to the interest of the town.

Design Concept

GreenHaus Grocery is designed after the monarch butterfly’s transformation from caterpillar to the beautiful orange and black adult butterfly. The design takes Galena’s antique aesthetic and transforms it into a more modern and colorful space. Keeping the interior cohesive with the red brick of Galena’s historic buildings and the greenery that surrounds the city makes this health food store feel like it is part of the landscape.

Project Scope

The Moorman family is a family of six looking to build their home from floor to cieling with the help of an interior designer. With four children, space is required to be functional and fun. As function is the number one priority, aesthetic was also a major component of this design.

Design Concept

We designed this 4 Bed 5 Bath home based on the clients design style. The clients wanted a mix of modern and farmhouse to create a comfortable and homey space for their family. We wanted to push them out of the box a bit and add accents and pieces that they would not initially consider.
